Tis' the season for thankfulness and boy do we have so much to be thankful for. As many of you know our book sale profits go to Christian missions around the world. This leaves us with very little to put back into the development of our book and the tradition. Because of this we rely on Gods provision. One way that He provides is through kind-heated TALENTED individuals that help us out from time-to-time.
Today I would like to give a shout out to two such individuals who have MUCH TALENT and HUGE HEARTS!
They both took some amazing promotional photos for our website and we are SO THANKFUL!
Many thanks to you both,
Delighted to announce that 2015 sales donation went to a missionary working with Kim's Open Door. A nonprofit organization partnering with EKidz at Heart International, F4 Foundation and Every Nation for their World Conference.
The Every Nation World Conference hosts around 300 children from all over the world. Happening in Cape Town, Africa, it's destined to be a God-centered gathering.
Our featured missionary, Rebecca Coleman, is focusing on the children's department. Through her talents and giftings, she will be teaching about Jesus and what it looks like to be "called to the nations."
Giving to Christ-centered missions gives us such purpose!

A sweet friend of The Traveling Wise Men had such amazing perspective. We are so delighted she's finding that the book and tradition can be turned into whatever fits your family best. Tiffany is a wonderful woman who inspires all to be their best selves.

We thought it would be fitting to share one of our favorite Advent Calendars with everyone today.
Focus on the Family has created a delightful Advent Calendar. We know people who created the poster style, and also people who just use the mini books. It is a great tool that is quite easy to adapt to your own children's needs.
We are so excited to start the ADVENTure!
We are delighted to share an exciting giveaway offered through CA Blog, Thyme To Embrace Herbs. Be sure to apply to win your free book and explore the blog while you are at it. We love the Lemon Balm Cookies!
As you learned in Part One, here at The Traveling Wise Men we try to aim for what would touch our heavenly father's heart. Because of this, we give a portion of all sales made through The Traveling Wise Men to global missions.
In part one we shared about a missionary named Tim.
Here in part two though, we are unable to share much information. This is because of the sensitive nature of the location these missionaries were. Here is what we can share; proceeds of 2014 Christmas Sales of The Traveling Wise Men went to an English school in the heart of a nation that needs Jesus. The English school demonstrates Christ's love in hopes to win souls for God.
And judging by conversations we personally have had with these missionaries, hearts have been won!
"For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, “I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.”"
So there you have it, what sets us apart from all the rest. We believe in The Great Commission.
Now, stay tuned for this year's giving!
Have you ever wondered the difference between purchasing a book through a big company (Amazon, Barnes, etc.) or purchasing the book through us here at The Traveling Wise Men?
Well, we wanted to show you a real difference.
Sales made through us (publisher, author, or illustrator) actually give a portion of every single sale to global missions. Today we would like to feature one of the causes we supported through our 2014 Christmas sales.
Meet Missionary Tim!
This time last year Tim was on a worldwide trip to show God's love to the far and near of His Kingdom. He made this trip with a missions organization called Adventures in Missions. He kept track of his journey in an inspiring blog.
The Traveling Wise Men is delighted that we are able to make a global footprint through brothers and sisters to impact the nations for Christ!
"And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation."
If you yourself would like to donate to this kingdom cause or see what Tim is up to now, you can by visiting:
Stay tuned for Part Two!
Today is a happy BIRTHday! The best one of all. Thank you God for sending your Son here to earth for us.
How does a book go from a computer clicked purchase to your hand?
Well, that depends how you order your book. When you order through the name brand stores those stores take a (large) fraction of the book price. Then the store contacts the printer and says "Make a book for Joseph, and send it to his address at XYZ." After that, the printer has to print it, and then it gets sent. This is why books ordered through the big stores take longer to get to you.
When you order through PayPal or the author or illustrator of the book the order enters our "basement office," we package it up immediately (after signing it) and send it out usually on the same day (depending on nap time schedule.) I say this not to belittle the book, but to enlighten you on the fact that we are a family run operation. Simply some Jesus lovers who wrote a book to help other families like ours.
In summary, order the book in whichever way you feel comfortable. But please know that a fraction of every book goes to Christian Missions. We are all about increasing Gods kingdom!
Wondering how to use the book in your own home? Here is a sweet movie to show you how to incorporate this book into your own Christmas tradition.
As a wife, mom, and teacher, I wanted a way to make the story of Christ's birth the daily focus of the Christmas season. I began writing The Traveling Wise Men in 2012 while trying to establish my own Christmas traditions. Soon, The Traveling Wise Men became a whole family project. So much love and prayer went into it. I hope that it might be a tool for children to learn about the awe-inspiring true story of the miracle of Jesus Christ.
"To Him be the glory for ever and ever. Amen." Phil. 4:20
